Elegant Maple Walnut Pie
Filling: 6 Tbsp. butter
6 Tbsp. flour 1 1/2 c. Hillsboro Sugarworks Dark Amber maple syrup 2 egg yolks 1/2 c. water pinch of salt |

Pie Crust: Blend flour and Crisco together. Add remaining ingredients and roll out on floured surface. Place crust in pie pan. Bake in preheated 450° oven for 10-12 minutes. Set aside. Filling: Cook butter and flour approximately 1 min in large saucepan. Combine and stir the rest of the ingredients into the flour mixture and bring to a boil cook another 1 2 minutes, whisking constantly. Pour immediately into pie shell. Place chopped walnuts on top.
